Obituary notice for
Diane Elaine (Warnstrom) Faroni,   70
Aug. 08, 1941   ~   Jul. 27, 2012

Diane Elaine Faroni passed away in the Crest Rehabilitation Center Friday afternoon, July 27, after an extended illness with her family at her side.   Diane was born Aug 8, 1941 in Butte to Knute and June (Gneiting) Warnstrom.   She was raised with her brother, Ralph in East Butte where she attended the Harrison School and then graduated from Butte High School.

On June 13, 1959, she married Gene Faroni.   They were blessed with three children; Mark, Nancy and Julie.

Early in life, Diane worked at Wilson Motors and Hennessy’s.   She then found her passion as a floral designer working at J & J Floral for 12 years.   Diane took great pride in her work and wanted all of her designs to be perfect.   In 1998 Diane followed her dream and opened Diane’s Posie Patch along with her best friend and sister-in-law, Kay Warnstrom.   Working in her shop along with her many dear friends brought her tremendous joy.   Unfortunately, Diane regrettably had to sell her shop due to health reasons in 2004.

Diane was fortunate to have many lifelong friends.   Even in poor health, Diane looked forward to her monthly gathering with “the girls” from her Club.   Her Club members visited frequently and comforted her during her final days.   She especially enjoyed her “Last East Butte Social” with Joanne Spolar and Kay Warnstrom a few days before her passing.

Diane enjoyed many hobbies.   She was an avid bowler and was very proud of her 298 game, a record she held at the Star Lanes for many years.   Diane also enjoyed her early morning summer golf outings.

Diane loved to travel.   She and Gene looked forward to their annual trip to the National Finals Rodeo for several years and she had vivid memories of her travels with Kay to Hawaii and New York City.

Diane was most proud of her family.   She was a rock that was always willing to lend support and an open ear.   She was extremely proud of all of her grandchildren.   Last month, she was happy to spend quality time with her great granddaughter from Helena, Shelby Lasselle.   Diane love to attend her grandchildren’s sporting and school events.   She was a number one fan of the Mission-Charlo and Butte Central wrestling teams.

Diane was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother;   June, Knute and Ralph Warnstrom, and her mother and father-in-law, Jessie and Gino Faroni.

Diane is survived by her husband, Gene, son, Mark (Candy) Faroni of Dixon and daughters, Nancy Faroni of Helena and Julie (Larry) Hart of Butte.   She is also survived by her grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Faith Faroni, Mindy (Shawn) Tighe, Luke Guccione, Zach and Eric Hart and five great-grandchildren.   In addition, she is survived by her sister-in-law, Kay Warnstrom, nephew, Ralph (Joanne) Warnstrom and niece, Cindy (Dan) Rademacher.

Diane’s family is very grateful for the staff at the Crest Rehabilitation Center, Julie Bushmaker and Julie Powers of Highlands Hospice, Holy Spirit Parish and Doctors Sorini, Pullman and Yoemans for their care and support.

Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated for Diane Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. in Holy Spirit Catholic Church.   Friends may call at church beginning at 10 a.m.   Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
