Mr. Charles G. Davies of 680 S. Alabama passed away Monday afternoon in a local hospital.   He was born in Butte on July 2, 1939 to Garfield and Elma (Tippola) Davies.   He attended local schools.

      Charles served his country in the US Navy.   He worked as a hoisting engineer for the Anaconda Company for 22 years, and then became the business agent for Operating Engineers Local 375 and 400 for 19 years.   He enjoyed fly tying, fly fishing and hunting.

      He married Roberta Toy in Butte on September 29, 1959.   She survives.   Other survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Pat Green, Butte;   daughter Lynn Perry, Butte;   sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Jr. and Barbara Davies, Butte, Greg and Shannon Davies, Butte;   brother, Tom Davies, Butte;   11 grandchildren;   nieces and nephews, Mary Anne and John Hackman, Butte, Joanne and Gary Bracco, Butte, Diane Davies, Butte, Terri and Rick Gordon, Butte, Danny Johnson, Pocatello, ID.

      His remains have been cremated in Butte.   Memorial services will be conducted Thursday evening at 7 o'clock in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with Ross Brown and Rick Gordon officiating.   Memorials may be made to the St. James Regional Cancer Center.
