Claudette "Cookie" (Limb) Friez   74

      Claudette “Cookie” Friez passed away Wednesday June 27, 2012, in Butte, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family.

      Cookie was born on May 30, 1938, in Whitehall, the daughter of Glen and Hannah Lenore (Beasley) Limb.   She received her education in Butte schools and graduated from Butte High School.

      She married George Friez in Butte on Aug. 23, 1958.   She worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Roche, the Diners Club and most recently at Nancy’s Pasty Shop for over 33 years, and every time you went there she always had a smile for you.

      She enjoyed cooking Monday night meals with her entire family.   Cookie cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and dance recitals, where she could always be found with a big smile and proud heart.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Friez, brothers, Don Limb and Rulan Limb, and son-in-law, Bob Hawkey.

      She is survived by her children, Kathy (Bill) Wayland, Rose (Matt) Pelletier, George (Laura) Friez, Jeannie Hawkey and Shane Watson, Lisa (Joe) Kolpin, Becky (Troy) Colvin; grandchildren, Chris Wayland, Cory Wayland, Amber and John Pierce, Ashley and Nick Neighbor, Matt Pelletier, Zach Friez, Rachel Friez, Jennifer Hawkey, Bryan Watson, Craig Kolpin, Jessica Kolpin, Alex Colvin, Josh Colvin, Hannah Colvin;   great-grandchildren, Rheanna and Braydon Pierce and Mattison Neighbor;   sisters, Lenore Tahija and Maryann McDermott;   and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and cherished friends.

      Relatives and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. this Friday in the Duggan Dolan Chapel for visitations.   Parish Vigil services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Liturgy of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Ann’s Catholic Church.   Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery.

      Memorials can be sent to the Paul Clark Home-McDonald’s Family Place or to a charity of donor’s choice.
