Obituary notice for
Darlene Audrey (Saxbury) Triner,   75
Jul. 07, 1939   ~   Dec. 15, 2014

Darlene Audrey Triner, 75 of Kennewick, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2014 in Richland, Washington.   She was born to Tina and Harvey Saxbury on July 7, 1939 in Helena, Montana.

Darlene grew up in Butte, MT where she developed her love for dogs and horses.   After graduating from Butte High School in 1957, she worked for Dun and Bradstreet.   Shortly, thereafter she met her soul mate and soon to be husband, Ron Triner on a blind date.   Darlene and Ron were married on August 21, 1960 during a snowstorm in Butte, MT.   In 1963, she gave birth to her son, Glen.   From this point on, she dedicated herself to raising her child and providing for her family.   She enjoyed volunteering at local schools, was an avid bowler, and participated in all her families’ activities (Boy Scouts, Kiwanis, and enjoying the outdoors).   Once her son was in high school, she spent her time working as an optician’s assistant at Casebeer Eye Clinic and Rocky Mountain Eye Center.   Upon retirement in 1996, Ron and Darlene moved to Kennewick, WA to be with their family.   They were fixtures at all family activities which brought her joy.   All her grandchildren’s friends called them grandma and grandpa.

She touched many lives;   her greatest gift was her love for her family, especially her grandchildren.   She loved hockey, crocheting, crafts, and gardening.   She was faithful and devoted to the Lord.   She loved baking and decorating for the holidays.   Christmas was a special time at Grandma’s house, Cookie day was the best!

Darlene was preceded in death by her mother Tina Saxbury.   She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ronald Triner;   son Glen (wife Charmaine) Triner;   grandchildren Jonathan Triner, Kelsey Triner (fiancé Garrett Brawdy), and Audra Triner;   and her family dog of 13 years, Snuggles.
