Obituary notice for
Dorothy G. (Robinson) Patrick,   78
Dec. 23, 1937   ~   Feb. 10, 2016

An angel was called home to heaven on Feb. 10, 2016.

Dorothy was born in Anaconda, Montana on Dec. 23, 1937, to James and Dorothy Robinson.   Dorothy “Dot” attended grade school there until she was 9 years old.   Dorothy and her mother and three sisters then moved to Butte, Montana.   At a young age she enjoyed Washoe Park in Anaconda, and wandering around Butte.   In high school she enjoyed singing and goofing around with her friends.

Dorothy graduated from Butte High School and soon after married her love, Michael “Jack” Patrick on July 23, 1957.   They started their life and family in Butte where they had three wonderful sons.   They soon moved to Wolf Creek, Montana, where Jack worked on building I-15 through the rocky canyon and Dorothy worked hard raising three energetic sons.   In 1965, Dorothy and her family moved back to Butte where Dorothy would soon go to work for local dentist Dr. Guay as a receptionist, where she stayed for almost 15 years.   Dorothy then took over the bookkeeping for her families’ trucking business.

She volunteered for many years at the World Museum of Mining in Butte and loved her work there very much.   She also enjoyed her Garden Club, snowmobiling, skiing, camping, county fairs, Christmas, and her family.   Dorothy always won awards because of her green thumb and having a great teacher, Jack’s mother, Helen Patrick, who she loved dearly.

Dorothy always said it was very interesting living in the beautiful state of Montana.   Some of her fondest memories were camping at the South Boulder River in the mountains south of Cardwell, Montana.

She also had a strong belief in family and always tried to look at the brighter side of life.   Dorothy was loved by everyone for her positive outlook on life.   Dorothy had many verses but the one that really sticks with her family is the one she would say to them when they were talking to her on the phone and she knew one of them was kind of down.   And that was, “I CANT HEAR YOU SMILING” … and then of course, they would be!   Dorothy will be missed by all and forever loved.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorothy and Frank Robinson;   her sister, Patti Kello;   and her many fuzzy puppies.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Michael “Jack” Patrick;   her three sons, Ken, Kevin, and Kelly and also by her two beautiful granddaughters, Kyla and Rylee Patrick;   and her great-granddaughter, Lyla Raine.   Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Billy and Frank Ambrozic;   her sister, Betty;   many nieces and nephews;   and lots of friends that loved her dearly.

Cremation has taken place.   Services will held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 19, at the Gold Hill Lutheran Church.

Memorials should be made to the Shrine Hospital Patient Transportation Fund.

Axelson Alternative Cremation is privileged to serve the Patrick family.
