Obituary notice for
Darius T. Fellows   56

      Darius T. "Did" Fellows Jr., 56, of 1945 Garrison died Wednesday in a local nursing home.

      He was born December 13, 1938 in Butte to Darius Sr. and Mona (Gelling) Fellows.   He attended local schools and graduated from Butte High School in 1957.   While in high school he was a Golden Gloves champion.

      He served in the Air Force in Germany.   After his discharge, he returned to Butte and was an underground miner for the Anaconda Co.   He then became a truck driver in the Berkeley pit.   His last employment was as a school bus driver for the Butte School District and for Head Start, and as a teamster for the Diners Club.

      Mr Fellows enjoyed bowling, golfing and softball.

      He married Eleanor Osterland in 1972 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.   She died in 1984.

      Survivors include his mother Mona Fellows of Butte:   son and daughter-in law, Mark and Sharon Pearson of Aloha, Oregon;   stepsons and daughter-in-law, Dave and Dorothy Kipp of Butte, and Dan Kipp of Butte;   daughters and sons-in-law, DeAnne and Mike Holman of Ridgefield, Wash., Samantha and Eric Tabor of El Paso, Texas;   stepdaughter, Jewell Charon of North Dakota:   11 grandchildren;   brother, Dale Fellows of Merced, Calif.;   sister, Mona MacGuire of Soldotna, Alaska.

      He was preceded in death by his wife and father.

      Cremation has taken place.   Memorial services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Fisher officiating.

      Memorials: Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children or donor's choice.
