Obituary notice for
Jeri Ann (Coyne) Dunfee,   79
Nov. 13, 1938   ~   Sept. 24, 2018

BILLINGS -- It is with tremendous sadness that the family of Jeri Ann Coyne Dunfee announces the passing of their beloved mother “matriarch” on Sept. 24, 2018.   She was born on Nov. 13, 1938, to Jeremiah Edward Michael and Jessica Katherine Coyne.   An only child, Jeri Ann was doted on by her parents until her father’s untimely death when she was 13.   Jeri Ann took on the Butte “can do” attitude at a very young age and became the hardest working teenager in uptown Butte.   She believed in honesty, speaking up for those without a voice, and saving and adopting every abandoned animal that crossed her path.

On June 30, 1958, she married Gary Dunfee.   Their marriage of 30 years produced the utter joys of her life, her little “Irish Tribe” (her four daughters), Laura (Jeff) Wiechman, Lisa Ann McCauley, Ann (Kim) Beaudry and Amy (David) Lix.   She will be greatly missed by all, including her grandchildren Joshua (Jenelle) Wiechman, Ashley (Eric) Sonderman, Morgan Lix (Tyler Carlson), Jessica (Nik) Hinebauch, Andrew Beaudry, and Noah Lix, and great-grandchildren, Bella McNamara, Monroe Wiechman, Preston Sonderman and Layla Hinebauch.

The world lost the most amazing, smart, strong and stubborn woman today.

She passed on to her family the gift of unconditional love.   Her family meant “everything” to her, and she was the center of their world.   We all worshipped her.   She will be missed every minute of every day and remembered with great love, respect and admiration. With all our love, your Irish Tribe.

She was preceded in death by both her parents;   her stepfather, John Sharkey;   and her beloved son-in-law, Daniel J. McCauley.

      “Erin go bragh” Gramma Jeri.

      No services will be held.
