Services will be Wednesday for James Joseph McCracken, 48, of 3013 Richardson, who died Saturday in the Butte hospital.   The time will be announced.   Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

        Friends may call at Wayrynen-Richardson Funeral Home beginning Tuesday afternoon.

      Mr. McCracken was born in Butte on May 3, 1938, to George and Madeline McCracken.   He attended Butte schools, LaSalle University in Chicago and Georgetown Uniiversity in Washington D.C.   He and his father operated McCracken Metals in Butte until he retired in 1980.

      He had belonged to the Army Reserve and was a member of the United Commercial Travelers, Delta Nu Alpha fraternity and Circus Fans Association of America.

      He and Judith Kenny were married Aug. 17, 1963, in Butte.

      Survivors, all of Butte, include his wife;   children, Colleen, Rachel and Sean McCracken;   mother; step-mother, Edna McCracken;   and mother-in-law, Marjorie Noland.

      Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.
