Obituary notice for
John Lawrence “Larry” Cameron,   79

      Mr. John Lawrence “Larry” Cameron passed away Saturday evening in Butte.   He was born in Butte Saturday, July 2, 1938 to John A. and Hettie (Spalding) Cameron.   Larry attended local schools and served his country in the United States Navy.   He was honorably discharged and returned to Butte where he started his career as a heavy equipment operator working for his father with F & S Construction.   Larry worked for several area contractors and retired from the Butte-Silver Bow Corral.

      Larry loved anything that went fast and loved to win even more.   Just 5 years ago he made a non-stop road trip on his motorcycle to visit his daughter in Spark, Nevada.   In his later years he also enjoyed golfing.

      Larry married Darlene Peterson in Bozeman in June of 1961 and together they had three daughters.

      He is survived by his wife, Darlene Cameron of Butte;   daughters and sons-in-law:   Debbie and Mark Secord of Sparks, Nevada, Kim and Jeff Churchill and Sheri and Jim Leary, all of Butte.   Also surviving are his grandchildren:   Tasha and Britt Hastings, Jake and Courtney Secord, Cassie Secord and her boyfriend David Mendez, Cameron and Eric Beardslee, McKenzee Churchill, Tyler Leary and his girlfriend Cassidy Patterson and Baylee Leary.   Great-grandchildren include Delaney and Jayden Hastings, Kinsley Secord and Ryker Beardslee.   Also surviving are his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Prue Cameron of Butte, sister and brother-in-law, Alice and Bill Schultz of Oakland Hills, California, and brother-in-law, Chuck Yadrosich of Arizona.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Hettie Cameron;   his parents-in-law, Francis and Caroline Peterson;   sister, Agnes Yadrosich;   and his brother, Jim Cameron.

      Cremation has taken place.   His family will receive friends at 12 noon in St. Ann’s Catholic Church where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 o’clock.   Interment of ashes with Rite of Comital will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Rockies or the Shriners Hospital for Children.   Express condolences at www.wayrynen-richards.com.
