Obituary notice for
James ‘Nutsy’ Michael Sullivan,   78
December. 7, 1937   ~   April 30, 2016

James was born on Dec. 7, 1937 to Emmett and Dorothy (Joll) Sullivan of Butte, Montana.   He graduated from Butte High School, attended Montana Tech, and made the Dean’s list while working full time at the Safeway warehouse.   He proudly served in the Army and talked about how much he enjoyed the comradery in the military and at work.   An entrepreneur at heart, he ran his own janitorial company and tinkered with inventions most of his life.   His friends and family knew him for his colorful sense of humor and warm heart.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Sullivan;   father, Emmett Sullivan;   and sister, Pat Sullivan.

He is survived by his soul mate, Debbie Sullivan;   son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Elaine Sullivan;   grandsons, Cameron Sines and Stedman Sullivan;   great-grandson, Nathaniel James Sines;   brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Mary Francis Sullivan;   brother, Denny Sullivan (Denny’s wife Terri Sullivan, deceased);   sister and brother-in-law, Chris and Greg James;   and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 19, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, followed by a graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery.   Join us for a celebration of his life following the graveside service at the East Side Athletic Club.
