Jerome Samuel Kalarchik, 38, of 1905 Banks, a former Safeway Store manager, died Saturday in a Butte hospital after a long illness.

      He was born Dec. 16, 1937, in Butte where he received his education.   He graduated from Butte High School and attended Montana Tech.

      He was a Lutheran.

      Survivors include his wife, Marilyn;   sons, Andy and Scott;   daughter, Kimberly;   brothers, Art, all of Butte, and George of Fort Collins, Colo., and a sister, Mary Stachel of Seattle.

      Services will be Monday at 1 in Duggan Merrill Dolan Mortuary, 213 N. Montana.   The Rev. Oliver L. Jones will officiate.   Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.

      Memorials in lieu of flowers may be sent to the University of Washington in Seattle.
