Butte native Kathleen Lenore "Kathy" Dame of 3206 State St. passed away Saturday morning in a local hospital.

      She was born in Butte on May 23, 1937 to Stanley and Kathleen Merrett.   She attended local schools and graduated from Butte High.   She was a homemaker.

      Kathy was a member of the 15-90 Search and Rescue.

      She married Lester Dame in Butte in 1966,   He survives.   Other survivors include mother, Kathleen Merrett, Butte;   sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Dan Emett, Butte;   aunt, Nellie McNeil, West Yellowstone;   cousins, Cornelia Grose, Helena, Dennis and Geri Grose and their daughter, Kyla, Butte;   sisters-in-law, Betty Hogan and Dorothy Gatlin;   brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robert and Oretha Willis, Island, Kentucky;   numerous nieces and nephews, including Rickie Willis and family, Gary Willis and family, Greg Dame and wife Sandra, Howard Dame and wife Polly, Larry Dame, niece Barbara Gurley and husband Bill.   She was preceded in death by her father Stanley Merrett, sister Marion Merrett and infant son Jeffrey Scott Dame.

      Her remains are in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock with Bill Tarrant officiating.   Interment will be in Mount Moriah Cemetery.   There will be no wake or visitation at the funeral home.   Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Diabetes Foundation.
