Obituary notice for
Karen Mary (Casey) Hendrickson   61
June 02, 1939   ~   July 21, 2000

      Karen Hendrickson, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, died peacefully Friday at home with her daughters by her side after a long battle with cancer.

      Karen was born June 2, 1939, in Butte to Joseph and Mary (Young) Casey.   She attended St. Joseph's School and graduated from Butte High School in 1957.   Kren was a long time employee of the Montana Power Co.

      Her greatest joys were spending time with her children and grandchildren, and quiet time in her home, of which she was so proud.   She looked forward to the St.' Patrick's day outings with her best friend Carol Gilmore.

      Her strong faith in God helped her through life's obstacles and she demonstrated the faith and courage needed when faced with the toughest challenges.

      Her parents;   son, Chris in 1983;   sister, Loraine Thomaas;   and brother, Joe Casey preceded Karen in death.

      Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Paula and Ken Kins of Elko Nev., and their children, Kody and Kourtney;   daughter, Amy Jangula and former son-in-law, Joe Jangula, of Butte and their childlren, Amanda and Hanna;   aunt Catherine Armstrong of Butte;   sister-in-law, Irene Casey of Butte;   nieces and nephew, Kimberlee Thomas, Carol Thomas, Jolene Murphy and Joe Casey;   and her very best friends, Carol Gilmore and Sherry Thomas.

      At her request cremation has taken place and she will be interred with her son, Chris, in Holy Cross Cemetery.   Visitation is at 10:30 AM Saturday in St. Patrick's Church.   A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Saturday in the church.   Memorials: Highlands Hospice.
