Obituary notice for
Leroy Edwin Guay,   71
04/14/1938   ~   04/13/2010

Lee Guay, 71, of Canyon Creek passed away on April 13, 2010, in Missoula.

Lee was born on April 14, 1938.   He was the son of Emil “Bum” and Joyce Guay.   Following graduation from Butte High School in 1956, Lee spent four years in the U.S. Navy.   He married the love of his life, Virginia (GiGi) McLean, on July 15, 1961.

Lee and Virginia moved from Helena to Canyon Creek in 1994, where he lived his life on the small ranch that he loved.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, raising cows and playing cribbage.   Lee had a wonderful sense of humor and loved sharing stories about his kids and grandkids.   Most of all he loved his dogs and teaching his grandkids about the ranching lifestyle.

Lee is survived by his wife, Virginia;   sons, Ed (Cathy) of Missoula, Steve (Julie) of Bellingham, Wash., and Bill (Kandi) of Missoula;   three grandsons, Zachary, Matthew and Kooper;   one granddaughter, Kennedy;   and sister, Barbara (Larry) Olson of Billings.   He leaves behind a host of family and friends too numerous to name who shared many wonderful memories.

Mass will be held on Wenesday, April 21, at noon at the Cathedral of St. Helena.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canyon Creek Volunteer Fire Dept., P.O. Box 483, Canyon Creek, MT 59633.
