Lee Roy Hastie   60

        Lee Roy Hastie of Whitehall died Tuesday morning in a local hospital.

      He was born March 27, 1938, in Butte to Roy and Meedrom (Chapman) Hastie and attended local schools.

      Lee Roy married Beverly Wilmert in 1957 in Butte.   He worked as an operating engineer for the Anaconda Co.   Mr. Hastie was a member of the Jefferson County Search and Rescue and the Madison County Search and Rescue.

      Survivors include his wife, Beverly Hastie of Whitehall;   sons and daughters-in-law, Lee Roy Jr. and Becky Hastie of Butte, Raymond and Lynn Hastie, Edward and Samantha Hastie, all of Coeur d' Alene, Idaho;   son Leslie Hastie of Butte; daughters and sons-in-law, Angella and Lee Sampson of Butte, Annissa and James Wassberg of Whitehall;   numerous grandchildren;   father, Roy Hastie of Butte;   sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Lee Boggs of Butte;   sister-in-law, Tootie Conniston of Butte;   and numerous nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Bobby Hastie;   brothers, Chuck Conniston, and Ed Hastie.

      Cremation has taken place.   Graveside interment of ashes will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Mount Moriah Cemetery.

      Memorials:   Shrine Hospital for Crippled Children.
