Obituary notice for
Robbie (Youlden) Gold
     
Robbie died at home on November 4, 2006 after a long illness.   She
was born on November 13, 1939 in Butte, Montana.   She spent her first
18 years in Butte, graduating from Butte High School. After high
school she attended and graduated from Colorado Women's College in Denver,
Colorado.   While at CWC she met her husband, Bill, a member of the
first class of the United States Air Force Acadamy.   They were married
on August 10, 1959 in Butte.   Bill and Robbie spent 21 years in the
Air Force with assignments in numerous places including Alaska and Norway.
      They also raised three wonderful children, Tracie, Kent, and Gretchen.
  The Gold family moved to Spokane after Bill's retirement in 1980.
  Robbie served for 25 years in the Women's ministries of St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church including ECW and Altar Guild.   She also served the
Episcopal Diocese of Spokane as president and member of the Bishop's Guild
as well as volunteering in the administrative office.   She was an
active member of Manito Garden Club and her Bridge Club.
      She was a
loving and generous homemaker and hostess.   Her home was a welcoming
focal point of hospitality and celebrations for her family and friends.
  She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Bill Gold of
Spokane, three children and their spouses, Tracie and Hank Stuart, Anny
and Kent Gold, and Gretchen and Tim Farley;   seven grandchildren,
Emily, Kathryn, Paul, Chelsea, Delaney, Greyson and Shannon.   She
is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marj and the Rev.
John G. Hay of Spokane.
      Funeral Services will be held at St.
Stephen's Episcopal Church, 5720 South Perry on Friday, November 10 at
10:00 a.m.   SPOKANE CREMATION & BURIAL SERVICE, 2832 N. RUBY, SPOKANE,
WASHINGTON
