Norman A. Hanni

      Norman A. Hanni died Feb. 10, 2011.

      He was born Sept. 4, 1939, in Butte, to Arthur Abraham Hanni and Ruth Elizabeth Warnstrom.

      He worked 31 years at Montana Leather Co., in Butte as assistant manager-bookkeeper until the company moved to Billings.   He then went to work for the state as a tax appraiser for three years.

      Norm then moved to Umatilla, Ore., where he owned and operated a trailer park.   He retired to Rainier where he worked part time as a security guard for Reliance Security for five years.

      An avid member of the Eagles Lodge, he spent 35 years with the group, serving as president in both the Butte and Rainier chapters.

      Norm was preceded in death by brothers, John and Dale;   sister, Judith;   and stepson, Monty.

      He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Russ and Vicki Hanni;   nephew, Chad Hanni;   and sister-in-law, Sharon Hanni.   He also leaves behind stepchildren, Kenny, Keli, Kevin, Kyle, Karlene and Kurt;   numerous step- grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and cousins;   and close friends, Jim Byron, Dorothy Austin and Craig Kenemore.

      Cremation has already taken place.

      In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Home on the Range charity through the Eagles Lodge, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
