Obituary notice for
Roberta Bessie (Miller) Loughrin   72
Feb. 28 1939   ~   Sep. 30 2011

Roberta (Bobbi) Loughrin, resident of Edmonds, Washington, passed away Friday night , September 30, 2011 at a young age of 72.   She passed peacefully at Harborview Medical Center with her son and daughter at her side.   Bobbi was born on February 28, 1939 in Lewistown, Montana to Robert and Bethel Berlin.   She was raised in her early years on her grandparent's ranch in Moccasin, Montana and her teen years were spent in the rough and tumble town of Butte, Montana.

Bobbi was preceded in death by her ex-husband William Loughrin Sr.   She is survived by her daughter Kelly Loughrin-Billings and her husband Del, son William Loughrin II and his wife Kelli, two grandchildren Brooke Loughrin and William (Billy) Loughrin III, two brothers Frank Miller and Monrice Miller, and good friend, companion and chauffeur Chuck (Charlie) Meyer.

As a fun-loving person who knew no strangers and a friend to all, Bobbi enjoyed country and rock music (most notably Guns and Roses), traveling worldwide to many different cities and countries, visiting with friends, and above all spending time with her grandchildren.

During her life she had many adventures and friendships, but her grandchildren were her greatest pride.   Not only was she their grandmother, or Gbob as she was commonly referred to as, she was one of their best friends.   Billy would burst with excitement when he heard the doorbell ring and saw his Gbob peaking around the front door in the side glass window;   whereas Brooke would light up as she shared with Gbob her many stories of travel and adventure.

Bobbi enjoyed her careers where she was highly respected and made a great number of friends.   She went to work in the mid 70's for Stuart Anderson's Black Angus Restaurants where she eventually worked her way to becoming a Vice President.   After the restaurant chain sold, she went onto work in 1986 as the controller of the Sorrento Hotel in downtown Seattle and held her final position at Ponti Seafood Grill in Fremont as CFO.   The lasting and close friendships she developed over these years were a testament to the beautiful, loving, spirited and admired lady she was.   If you ever met Bobbi, you could not help, but be her friend.

She will be greatly missed by all.

Celebration of her life will be held at Ponti Seafood Grill, 3014 3rd Ave N, Seattle on Sat., Oct. 15th at 12 noon.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be sent in her name to Harborview Medical Center at 325 9th Ave. Seattle, WA 98104.
