Robert Joseph Cox   74

      Robert “Bob” Joseph Cox, 74, of Great Falls, died on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Peace Hospice in Great Falls from pulmonary fibrosis.

      Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, and Monday, Feb. 17, at Schnider Funeral Home.   A vigil service starts at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, at Hillcrest Lawn Memorial Chapel.   A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with entombment to follow at Hillcrest Lawn Mausoleum.   Schnider Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

      Bob was born on Oct. 10, 1939, in Butte, to Robert Charles and Anna Lorraine Cox where he was raised and educated.   He met Joanne Joseph in high school, they were married in April of 1960.   Upon graduation from Butte High he went to work for Safeway Stores, then Harrington’s Pepsi, then he found his “home” with Sweetheart Bread.   He worked for the Sweetheart Bread Co. for 36 years, retiring in 2001.

      He was a very supportive father, always cheering for his boys during their football games and wrestling matches.   He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his sons throughout their entire lives.   He loved sharing hunting, fishing, football, and wrestling stories with anyone, especially his family.   Upon retirement, Bob enjoyed playing golf with his buddies, traveling to Nevada to visit family, and watching his grandkids at sporting events.   He missed very few, if any, of their events.

      Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joanne Joseph Cox;   two sons, Robert (Heidi) Cox and Joseph (Stacey) Cox;   grandchildren, Jake (Tara) Cox, Kayla (Casey) Dee, Kevin Cox, Brian Cox, Connor Cox, and Calvin Cox;   great-grandchildren Cameron, Avery, Alivia, and Aria;   sisters, Dorothy (Luke) Corak, Mary (Frank) DePriest, Marge (Art) Richardson, and Carolyn (Ken) Monahan;   along with many nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Anna.
