Ronald James Sprague   76

      Ronald James Sprague, 76, was born in 1938 in Butte, Mont.   He was the oldest of five children.

      On the evening of April 15, 2015, he passed away peacefully of natural causes with his wife of 49 years by his side.

      Ron proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1958-1962.   He worked for 30 years for the State of Montana Highway Dept.

      Ron loved the outdoors. Camping, fishing and hunting were where he felt most at home.

      He was preceded in death by sister, Marlene Davis; half-sister, Brenda Lee Sprague; and sister-in-law, Leah Mitchell.

      He is survived by his wife, Nancy Sprague of Butte; daughter and son-in-law, Jodi and David Huckins of Cheney, Wash., and their children Sierra, Logan and Riley; and son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Jodie Sprague of Helena and their child, Payton.   He is also survived by his beloved and caring sister, Donna (Sprague) Saleeba and loving niece, Donna “Susie” Mink as well as by sister, Dianne Riggs and many other family and friends.

      The family will hold a celebration of Ron’s life at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at the McQueen Athletic Club, 3250 Hecla in Butte.

      Memorials are requested to Rocky Mountain Hospice, 19 Discovery Dr., Butte, Mont., 59701.
