Memorial services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 in Gold Hill Lutheran Church for Robert O. Hakala Sr., 53.   Pastor Merv Olsen will afficiate.   Cremation has taken place.

      Mr. Hakala, 2306 Pine, died Saturday evening in a local hospital after an extended illness.

      Mr. Hakala was born Feb. 8, 1938 to Onnie and Martha Hakala in Butte.   He was raised in Butte and attended local schools.   He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a hard rock miner and laborer.

      He loved fishing and hunting.

      Survivors include his parents of Butte;   sister, Darlene Nilson of Butte;   son, Robert Owen Jr. of Billings;   daughters. Lesa of Butte, Marcia of Billings, Mona Campbell of Port Angeles, Wash., Robin of Deer Park, Wash. and Darla Ave of Gillette, Wyo.;   stepchildren, Dan Blackwood of Silverton, Idaho, Penny Hansell and Tena Montoya both of Townsend, Nancy Lofton of Thornton. Colo., Floyd Alger of Butte and Bill Alger of Helena;   16 grandchildren.

      Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.   Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
