Funeral services for Butte native Shirley A. Squires, 53, of 2100 Carolina will be Saturday at 11 in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Craver officiating.   Friends are asked to call beginning Friday after 4.

      Mrs. Squires died Wednesday evening in the local hospital.

      She was born Aug. 7, 1938 in Butte to Howard and Delores (Rowe) Roberts and she attended local schools graduating from Butte High.

      She was a devoted homemaker, and she was also an avid golfer, belonging to the Bonnie Highlander Golf Association.   She won numerous tournaments.   She also enjoyed skiing and bowling.

      She married Al Squires on Aug. 3, 1958 in Mountain View Methodist Church in Butte.   He survives.

      Other survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sherry of Great Falls;   daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Bill Richards of Missoula;   three grandchildren;   and brother, Jim Roberts of California.

      In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Shodair Childrens Hospital, the American Cancer Society or the Montana Parkinsons Association.
