Sandy (Stewart) McGurk, 56, of Hardin died Aug. 19th in a Hardin hospital.

      A Havre native, she was born Jan. 25, 1939 to Elma and Arthur Stewart.   As an infant, she and her family moved to Butte.

      In 1957 she graduated from Butte High School.   As a young woman she worked at the old St. James Hospital and Warm Springs State Hospital.

      She graduated from licensed practical nursing school in Lewistown.

      She married Terry McGurk and they later divorced.

      For many years she worked at rest homes and hospitals.   She retired due to bad health.

      She enjoyed reading.

      She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather Francis Berger.

      Survivors include her children, Jim of Billings, Kenny of Colorado, and Shari of Hardin;   two grandchildren;   and a sister, Susan Clemo of Butte.

      Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday in Hardin.   Cremation has taken place.   Interment of ashes will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Butte.
