Willene Hierholzer died suddenly Thursday morning, Feb. 5, 2009.

      She was born in Butte Nov. 11, 1938, the only child of William and Ida (Wold) Taylor.   She attended Butte schools and married Tom Hierholzer on Nov. 16, 1963.

      Willene worked as a secretary at Metals Bank for many years and later for George Sarsfield for 16 years.   She worked for the Montana Department of Welfare for 15 years before retiring.   Willene loved her dogs and had seven standard poodles over the years.

      Willene is survived by her husband, Tom Hierholzer of Butte;   brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Anthony and Sandi Hierholzer of Spring Creek, Nev., and Willard Levengood of Bozeman;   and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
