I left Butte High School at the end of my junior year and began an
apprenticeship for meat cutting at the Pay-n-Takit Meat Market.
My meat cutting / butchering career started in September of 1956.
My trade took me to Sigman Meats, Biastoch Meats, back to The Pay-N-Takit
and finally to the Western Meat Block, I retired from there in
May, 2001.   A total 45 years.

I married Sue Alden in 1958;   we will celebrate our 49th anniversary
Aug. 30 of this year.   We have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and a
great-granddaughter on the way.

In the 70’s I took an interest in shooting small bore target rifles.
I belonged to The Butte Gun Club and I was also a volunteer instructor
for many of the teens who also belonged to the club.

Sue & I have traveled to Mexico, Canada, Alaska and most of the
western states.   I enjoy working in our yard, working out
at the “Y”, watching sports, hunting, camping, fishing and
fishing and fishing.
