I graduated from the Grant grade school in 1952 and Butte High in 1956.
Mid-year of my Senior year I started working at Montana Power going to
work at noon every day. After graduation, I went full time for Montana
Power for six years in addition to working part-time for my husband
doing his books.
I married Jim Gilman, a self-employed contractor,
in 1959.
This year Jim celebrated his 50th year in business and he is still
going
strong working everyday. Still today I continue to work part-time for
Jim’s
construction business.
We have two children, LaRae South and Jim Gilman
Jr. My daughter has three children two boys and one girl, Trevor 8,
Trace 6, and Selby is 4. My son has two daughters, Sarah 6 and Jenna is
2.
We have a summer home at Canyon Ferry where I
spend most of the
summer with family, friends and grandchildren. If not at our summer
home you will find me out
on the job with my husband, Jim.
In January of 2004, I registered as a member of the Red Hat Society.
Upon registration I became Queen Chloe and named our Red Hat group
"The-Gal-US-Frame Gals." Our membership took off like wildfire and
today we boast a membership of 92, respectively. Isn't it wonderful,
"Age has no limits." On February 2004, we celebrated our first
gathering at Christina's Cocina Cafe.
I have been in the Waterford exercise program since 2002 and many of
the women participating in the exercise classes joined
"The-Gal-US-Frame-Gals. Today we have a dedicated area in the break
room where all of our functions are posted and sign-up sheets are
available for our planned activities. The Waterford takes no
responsibility, and has no connection with our Red Hat group. They
offer us the hospitably to get together after workouts and make our
plans.
