Sorry about the poor quality. Best my scanner would do.     TDR

November 1955- Due to academic problems and too many hours owed to Mr. Harris,
I decided it was best for me to join the United States Marine Corps, my parents agreed.
In November 1960, I met and married my wife Laure while assigned to the American
Embassy in Brussels, Belgium as a Marine Embassy Guard. We have two wonderful
daughters and two beautiful grandchildren. I retired from the Marine Corps in 1978
after 23 years of service. For the next 24 years, I worked for various defense contractors
managing their field offices throughout the country. I also discovered the value of
education and continued to pursue that while in the Marine Corps and after.
So, I’m proud to say I worked in defense of this country for 47 years. I’m sure you
all felt very safe knowing that I was out there protecting our country.

We are now retired and living in Oro Valley, Arizona, near Tucson. I play as much
golf as I can and we enjoy traveling and chasing grandkids when we can. I have
always been very proud that I can claim Butte as my home and the kids I grew up
with as my friends. The Klan gathers every year at Don and Jane Lembke’s place at
Georgetown Lake. The Lembke’s have provided us a venue to relive and enhance the
wonder of growing up in Butte, Mont. Only we can fully understand the value of that.

I consider myself blessed to have a wonderful family, good friends and have had
the good fortune to serve my country and travel the world.

I only have one regret, that I did not graduate with the Class of 1956, Butte High School.
