Paid Positions Since High School
Carpenter/roofer, florist, cook, laundry person, janitor, college student librarian, dorm proctor, and English Department student assistant, Safeway clerk, geologist for Atlantic Richfield, English and math teacher, coach, librarian, and drama director for Denton High School, United Methodist Minister for 41 ½ years before I retired and for the past 3 years I have handed out samples at Costco.

Ministry Highlights
Served as a Summer Supply Pastor for 2 Montana churches/Geraldine Methodist and Trinity Methodist in Butte. Served Highland Park UNC in Dallas Texas, and Lakewood UMC, First UMC of Colorado Springs, First UC of Boulder, Park Hill UMC, and Jefferson Avenue UMC in Colorado.
Served in numerous local, district, conference, jurisdictional, General Conference, ecumenical, and community positions of leadership with special interest in volunteers in mission, community mental health, biblical and theological studies, pragmatic ministries, retreats, camps and trail hikes.

College Education
B.A. degree from Rocky Mountain College, Librarian Certificate from Eastern Montana State, M.D. degree from Perkins School of Theology, and additional graduate studies from Southern Methodists University and Iliff School of Theology.

Wife, Children, and Grandchildren
Married: Jeane Carman Barr – Nov. 14, 1964.
Son: Michael, Daughter: Bonnie.
Grandchildren: Joshua, Colin, and Andrea

Interests and Hobbies
People, fishing, hunting, back packing, fly tying, writing poetry, singing, stained glass, sand painting, photography, cooking, and sharing what God has lent to my care to share with others.
