In the fall of '57, Helen attended
Cottey College in Nevada, MO. Returning to Butte she
worked for AT&T. In 1961, Helen married Donald J. McMillan (Class
of '55) & moved
to Columbia Falls, MT where they raised their two daughters. Helen
managed an art
gallery & gift shop for several years & then began studying to
become a watercolor artist.
In 1986, Don & Helen moved to Bozeman, MT where Don received his
second degree &
Helen took more studies in art. There she had her first one person art
show. Don &
Helen moved to Delta, UT in 1989. Helen is a graduate of the Masters
Course from
North Light Art School in Cincinnati. McMillan's retired in Polson, MT
four years ago.
Helen has received a teaching certificate in Encaustic Art from Wales.
Helen enjoys
teaching in her art studio, overlooking Flathead Lake. She loves being
back in Montana
though she has enjoyed their travels here & abroad.
They have three grandchildren & one great grandchild.
