Life is an ever changing journey & mine is no exception.

      Second husband, Charles (Ozzie) Osborne, whom many of you met, died in Jan of 2009.   In April of 2009 Elise Joy Sleizer was born to Todd & Patty.   What a delight she is in my life as you grandparents can affirm.   Frequent trips to Sacramento are on my schedule.

      In Sept 2011, I moved to Channing House, a Life Care Community in Palo Alto.   It was a huge undertaking but I am very happy with my decision to close up the house I lived in for 40+ years & move on.   Although life should be simple, I am busier than ever & enjoying the new “life”.

      I continue to cook for the less fortunate in Palo Alto on a regular basis, have just discovered line dancing which is great fun, wonderful exercise & requires no partner!   I stay involved in my church, a progressive Presbyterian community & am doing my share at Channing House where all activities are resident run.   And there is time for quilting.

      Daughter Lori Shankle, who works for Staples, lives in Commerce City, CO & is married to a man who lives in San Jose, CA.   Louis telecommutes & is able to spend 2 weeks in CO & 2 weeks in CA.   Son Todd, daughter-in-law Patty & Elise live in Sacramento.   Todd operates an indoor swimming complex, the Swimstitute.   Patty is a kindergarten teacher in Loomis, CA.

      I’m looking forward to seeing many of you in Butte in Aug.   I am grateful to those folks who continue to produce these events for those of us who arrive & enjoy the weekend.   Many thanks!!
