Upon graduation from high school I attended the School of Mines
for two years and then transferred to Stanford University in
California where I met my husband, Walter.   After receiving
my B.A. in history and getting my teaching credential I became
a full-time mother to my three children.   Later I was
teacher-director of a parent participation pre-school for a
number of years and then returned to school for a Masters in
Social Work.   I then worked with seriously emotionally
disturbed children and their families.

I am retired now and enjoy traveling and being with my children
and six grandchildren.
