My name is Mary Montoya-Gallegos class of '57.

After I graduated from Butte, my family and I moved to Raton.   That is where
I met my husband in 1958, shortly there after we were married in 1960, he was
a jockey at the time, but after we had my oldest Daniel James in 1962 we decided
that it wasn't the life for a family.   So we settled in Raton for about 4
years, and moved to Denver for 7 years.   While we lived in Denver we had
our second son Vincent in 1967.   At this time we decided to move back to
Raton.   My husband went to work for the Coal Industry he was employed there
until retirement.   In 1975 my only daughter Sera was born.   My husband
Danny passed away in 2006 from cancer we were married for 46 years.   I still
reside in Raton for about 40 years.

I have 6 grandchildren, 4 boys and 2 girls.   I spend my time going to church
and visting with my friends.   I also have 2 brothers that reside in Butte.
Lee Montoya is my nephew and I have other nephew's and niece's that also
live there in Butte.

Have a wonderful time.   I wish that I could be there meeting all of you in
person, but I couldn't make it this time.
God Bless You All,

Mary Montoya-Gallegos & her daughter Sera.
