After graduation, I attended the then Montana State University in Missoula for one
year with Anna Lee “Toots” Peterson as my roomy. That was a trip! Actually,
we had a really good time, but my parents objected to it costing them $5000 for
me to learn how to play the ukulele so they made me come home and go to work.

After a couple of years of working at Christie Transfer, I married Tom Lewis
(class of ‘54) and he saved me by moving me to Bozeman, where we have lived
every since.

We have two beautiful, successful, rich children, who I am hoping
will keep me in my old age. Our 4 grandchildren are also beautiful, successful
and hopefully will be rich.

I was a stay at home Mom until the kids went to
school, then went to work as office manager for the Bozeman branch of Butte
Teamsters Local #2 for 5 years, hired on as business manager for Reier
Broadcasting for the next 15 years and finished out my “career” working as an
accountant for Lehrkinds, Inc.

I retired from Lehrkinds in 1998 because of
Tom’s health and although I didn’t get a gold watch at my retirement party,
I did get a roto-tiller. How cool is that? I never did get to really have
a life after retirement because my kids live near by and “now that Mom has all
that time on her hands”… well, you know the routine. I unretired in 2005
and started my own business, which I am thoroughly enjoying.

I didn’t have a wide angle lens on my camera to take my picture, so am in the
group photo above which Toots sent with her bio. I’m the young looking one!

See you all in July.
