In a nutshell, I joined the Marine reserve out of high school followed by Western
Montana College.
Caryl and I were married in 1963 and began our teaching careers through Eureka,
Coeur d’ Alene, and Dillon where the roots took hold.   We raised four children,
retired, and have lived in Dillon ever since.

I still enjoy the backcountry with its hiking, camping, fishing and lately, mountain
biking opportunities.   There are still a few roads we haven’t driven in the US,
and God willing, before our earthly time is over, we’ll have seen them, too.
I often find myself thinking about the good times with old friends at Butte High
and Emerson.
